Our Young Women at "The Kitchen Table"

Lydia Hedinger....18!

My name is Lydia Hedinger. I am 18 years old and living in Portland, Oregon (where it always rains) with my Dad, Mom, three brothers and my adorable dog Sierra. ~Smile~ I just graduated from Alliance Charter Academy (I was homeschooled for most of my education) and am planning on attending Portland State University in the fall to study European history. For right now I’m working as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and praying for the Lord to show me what he would like me to do with the free months I have off of school. Oh, and best of all my parents are missionaries.

Interests
I love to write novels (though I have not been working very hard on them) and paint. I also of course love books and movies and history.

Favorite Moves/ TV Shows
Far and Away, Beauty and the Beast, anything with Cary Grant in it, Indiana Jones, Pride and Prejudice, Community, The Office, Bones

Favorite Music
Josh Groban, Michael Buble, lots of other random songs.

Favorite Books
The Scarlet Pimpernel, any travel books by Frances Mayes, The Historian, all of the Jane Austen books, Rebecca, Beowulf

Tovah Cousins.....High School Junior!

Well, let’s see, where to begin? I’m Tovah Wilson, I’m 16 years old and currently a junior in high school. I go to a Messianic Jewish school, and I’m starting the process of applying to colleges. I am also Student Council President. I love to hangout with my friends and I’m enjoying my last 2 years of high school while they last. I’m Ponnie Cousins’ youngest daughter, and I’ve been helping my mom with inner-city missionary work for as long as I can remember. I volunteer each summer at Alpha Pregnancy Center, a Christian organization that provides positive alternatives to abortion. I currently volunteer as a student teacher for Chalutzim Academy working with children ages 3 to 6 years old. This is good training as I will be pursuing a career in early childhood education.

Interests
I have a jewelry making business and make a lot of my own jewelry. I love to read, play guitar, watch movies, listen to music, and curl up with a good book on a rainy day.

Favorite Movies/TV Shows
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Princess Bride, The Mummy. Monk (sorry it ended) and Chuck. I have many more but my mom only wanted a couple.

Favorite Music
Flyleaf, Les Miserables, Michael Bublé, Eisley

Favorite Book
Singing River Series, Left Behind Series (Adult), just about all books by Melody Carlson
